In ancient India the men of medicine were known as VISHAK. they used to prescribe treatment and were expert in preparing medicines. They were placed in a very respectable and responsible position in our social order. This name to the annual magazine of Silchar Medical College was proposed by Dr. M. Shyam and Mr. Ranjit Das in 1974.
It was last published in 2009 and hope to see it once again this year.
